Training provided for motivated applicants and the chance for ongoing employment with the start of each subsequent shearing season in 2025, 2026, and 2027.

ABOUT US:

Shearpower2Ewe is a fully mobile shearing service, operating within a 350km radius of Sydney, covering North/South/West regions including the outer Sydney Basin Area. We specialize in sheep, alpaca, and goat shearing, as well as livestock handling and husbandry.

WE ARE SEEKING KEEN & RELIABLE EMPLOYEES WITH:

  1. Shearer/Livestock Handlers: Individuals with knowledge in handling livestock, setting up yards, and general husbandry for sheep, goats, and alpacas. Immediate start.
  2. Office & Admin Worker / Site Assistant – Travel & Camp Out Required.

We’re seeking a reliable, versatile crew member who can balance hands-on shearing/site work; admin skills are a bonus when needed. This role involves travelling to various sites and camping on-location for extended periods.

Location: Flexible, with extended travel across regional areas

Duration: Seasonal / extended weeks (camping accommodation and food/keep provided)

Key Responsibilities:

• Shearing and/or shed support: penning/yarding, wool sweeping, crutching assistance, safe animal handling; assisting or carrying out routine livestock husbandry (e.g., drenching, hoof trimming, tagging).

• Set up/pack down: mobile yards and shearing plant; general site logistics.

• Gear & ops: load/unload, basic equipment checks, consumables.

• Admin: schedules, emails, invoicing, client communication.

• Data & tracking: simple data entry on laptop/phone; run notes and updates.

• Balance occasional office tasks with hands-on work during peak periods.

Requirements:

• Fit and able for physical work on shearing sites; confident, humane livestock handling.

• Willing to travel and camp out for several weeks at a time.

• Computer/phone skills are a bonus (spreadsheets, email, basic business software).

• Organised, adaptable, safety-minded; ready to jump into any task.

• Comfortable working remotely and getting hands dirty when needed.

• Truck driver’s licence preferred.

WHV – 88 DAYS (2ND/3RD YEAR ELIGIBILITY)
Work may count when performed in eligible REGIONAL POSTCODES and duties meet “specified work” (plant & animal cultivation). Many runs fall within WHM regional NSW ranges (e.g., 2311–2411, 2536–2551, 2575–2594, 2787–2898). We provide payslips and verification (e.g., FORM 1263). YOU MUST CONFIRM YOUR OWN ELIGIBILITY and keep day counts per Home Affairs rules.
